Who pays Inheritance Tax?

Any Inheritance Tax due is to be paid out by the person nominated to handle the affairs of the deceased person. This person is usually nominated in a Will as an executor.

If the deceased died without making a Will, then the inheritance tax solicitor will apply to the Court to nomiate a personal representative to deal with the Will and the estate.
